Definition Of:

Bottomhole Pressure

Oil & Gas Field DictionaryOil and Gas Field Dictionary
The static pressure at or near the bottom of the wellbore. Bottomhole pressure (BHP) is usually determined at the face of the formation by means of pressure-recording instruments which can be lowered into the well. BHP may be calculated by adding the surface pressure to the wellbore fluid hydrostatic pressure if the density(s) of the fluid(s) is known.
