Liquid Penetrant Inspection
A nondestructive method for determining the presence of two-dimensional and small three-dimensional surface-breaking flaws wherein a dyed fluid is allowed to be absorbed by surface tension into the flaw and leached out with a developer. This process is used for weld inspections and prove-up inspections.
