Surge

The increase of pressure in a liquid filled wellbore due to the interaction of the wellbore liquids in contact with the concentric pipe and tools when the tubing and attached tool string are moved downward within the wellbore. The drag forces created through the relative motion of the liquid and the tube generate an increased wellbore pressure similar to that of equivalent circulating density.

A jet of material from active regions that reaches coronal heights and then either fades or returns into the chromosphere  along the trajectory of ascent.
